City fairs

Frequent and varied fairs are held in Besigheim (book, flea, floral), with small traders taking part. Every Saturday from 7 to 12 at the market square in the very heart of the city's the open market is held. It runs from May to October with accompaniment from local music groups.

Vinzerfest

The main event in Besigheim, of course, is the Wine Festival "Vinzerfest". It is held every two years, on the third weekend of September from Friday to Monday. The height of the holiday is a costumed procession on Sunday afternoon: more than 60 groups of participants dress up in historical costumes in order to give the holiday the atmosphere of centuries goneby.
